Red Blood Cell Study proves ZipThaw efficacy

We’ve worked with the US Army Institute of Surgical Research to compare ZipThaw, a dry next-gen thawing device, with a predicate water bath to thaw frozen red blood cells. The study shows that ZipThaw performed as well or better than water baths for quickly and safely thawing frozen red blood cell units. The study measured RBC hemolysis–plasma free hemoglobin and percent hemolysis.

These results, combined with ZipThaw’s precise temperature tracking of thawing blood product, its need for nearly zero maintenance, a small footprint and lightweight package, shows that ZipThaw is the best choice for precision thawing of life-saving therapies.

The study will be posted with the Department of Defense and submitted as an abstract to the AABB. Get a quote or Zoom demo today: info@fremonscientific.com
