CellPhire Therapeutics recently demonstrated their clinical frozen platelet product can be thawed faster with ZipThaw, the only dry device tested that’s FDA cleared and AABB standards compliant.

We’ve worked with the US Army Institute of Surgical Research to compare ZipThaw, a dry next-gen thawing device, with a predicate water bath to thaw frozen red blood cells. The study shows that ZipThaw performed as well or better than water baths for quickly and safely thawing frozen red blood cell units. The study measured RBC hemolysis–plasma free hemoglobin and percent hemolysis.
